Jimmy Livingstone Spoken Word Poet - Friday June 13th - 7 PM
Jimmy Livingston is a spoken word poet. Jimmy is a multi-talented soul working as an actor and having written & directed animation he has performed as a singer song writer on the circuit. Wanting to give more an edge to his work he is now exploring spoken word and was a finalist in the Genesis Poetry Slam in Londin last year.
He has toured in the north of England & is now coming to the South West.
His sharp, quick-fire rhyming covers the personal, satirical and sometimes political, all interwoven with a dark, wicked humour. Expect strong language, adult themes and sinful laughter.
Jimmy invites us to "Come on in, take a sip of my ocean!"

For this special pot luck, we’re taking inspiration from countries around the Equator and Prime Meridian – where latitude 0° meets longitude 0°.
That’s right – we’ll be cooking and sharing dishes from places like:
🍛 Azores, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Ecuador, Brazil, Indonesia, Colombia, and more.
Expect a delicious mix of spicy stews, rice dishes, grilled meats, tropical flavours, and sweet treats, all from the diverse cultures that sit right on the Earth’s waistline.

Pick a country from our list (full list on Facebook)
Make a dish from that country – traditional, inspired, or your own twist.
Bring it to share with the group – along with a little info about the dish if you’d like and list all ingredients.
Whether you love to cook or just want to try something new, this is your chance to bring the global table to life.

Once a month for 6 sessions on the second Wednesday of the month, beginning June 11th, 2025, from 19.00 to 21.00
Not so much how to write or what to write, but how to get it to the finish-line and what to do with it once you get it there. This is a supportive space where, together, we can discuss, share and encourage writers old and new, but most importantly, arrive at some decisions!
